CoastCutlery, LED torches w/Liftime Warranty (?)

i bot some of these bright, compact little penlights and the
"keychain" models have a plastic swivel connecting two metal
rings. this seems like a weak link.

Question: has anyone dealt with Coast, wrt to warranty
adjustment? it would seem that a model designed for
keychains should have a metal swivel. would Coast replace
my flashlite if it is lost due to a weak swivel?

likely i will remove the swivel, i am just surprised at the
use of plastic in this way. i know plastic has replaced metal
in many camping/hiking applications, but this swivel would have
to be miracle plastic to hold up, the x-sections are only
slightly, if any larger than a steel unit. i expect it to be
fractured, being mashed by a bunch of keys in a pants pocket.

Puma knives are distributed by Coast and carry the same warranty.
the sheath is probably not warranteed, but this little swivel
is really part of the product function, not an accessory.

Thanks! --Loren
