Yes, but it detects it not only in the machine, but also around you.
And oscilloscope also able to detect it. Please grasp the probe of
oscilloscope with keeping the probe open. Then the oscilloscope will
show the wave around 300-500 Hz. That electromagneticic field is
created from the bioelectric current through your body. If there is a
ghost around you, that frequency will change toward higher side (^^)
