On a capacitor marked 2a103j, what figure determins the voltage? I know how to calculate the capacitance.

depends on the manufacturer ?
103 is the value = 0.01 uF
the J is the tolerance = ± 5%

some manufacturers will underline the text, this indicates a 50/100V rated cap
is your one underlined ?

if not underlined then the 2A indicates a 100V rating

Thanks for the info. I will assume it's in the 50/100V range. It's not underlined. I don't know the manufactur.
