capacitor type question

I have noticed that a significant number of chinese electrolytic
capacitor manufacturers refer(sometimes obliquely) to the fact that
their caps conform to a 'standard' or to 'types' with such
classifications as CD110, CD110X amongst others.
What is this standard/type designation, - where can I find out about
it?

Thanks

News to me. Maybe it's an attempt to get over the 'bad caps' debacle ?

Are they 'no-name' brands ? I.e. not Panasonic etc ? List some please.

I am not sure what brands you know of - I have not seen any badged
Panasonic - but a quck Google for CD110 capacitor, for example, will
ellicit some response for you to look at.
Names to hand are
Baishing
Jaingsu Sumec
Elecsound
NanTong YaGuang
Dongguan Amazing

(Amazing may be a re-badge - but if so why use the same model or type
number as the others unless it has some generic meaning?)

I think the above list totally answers your question...

Not only is the data on Chinese parts inadequate, but the parts
themselves are junk. Do you realize the potential problems that
trying to save a few cents will cause ? Warrantee repair work
on even 10 percent of the product will wipe out the profit margin.
Forget using Chinese junk parts and do the job right.

Yes, these are what I call 'no-name' brands of dubious quality. Probably made in a pig shed.

Amazing ? Stick to quality brands. As can be found in Farnell, Newark, Mouser, Digikey etc.
