Build by the number kit parts?

A few days ago I bought another grab bag of parts to get a cable that was in the bag. Among the other piece of older electronics stuff I found in the bag were a bunch of transistors and ICs that had no markings other than a 2 - 4 digit number on the top of the can. I presume these came from some old build-by-the-numbers electronics kit, but having never bought/built one, I'm only guessing.

Shown in the photo are four of the six-lead ICs from that batch that might have all come from the same kit.

Anybody know what company might have produced kits with parts like these?

No way to tell. Only whomever had them made, knows.
Since they're six-lead cans, they might be dual transistors in a can.
You might use an ohmeter to check on that.
If you've got access to a curve-tracer, you might be able to get some specs on them.
