Best way of multiplexing analog signals?

What would be the best (cheap and good) way to demultiplex analog signals
(mA, V, Ohm)
that means switch from 16 analog inputs to 1 analog output?

Can it be done without mechanical or reed relays, and still be satisfactory?

Thanx

Depends on what you mean by satisfactory. A low voltage, low currant
signal could be multiplexed with a 4051 CMOS chip.

Lets say 0 ... 10V and 0 ... 20 mA would be satisfactory.

DG409 from Maxim, +/-20V 16;1 IIRC, if it isn't the 409 it's the 407.
