Guys,
I have seen many posts in this forum, indicating a cost of five
dollars per watt. Is this just the cost per panel or for a fully installed
system? Are you talking in US dollars? In Australia (Adelaide), the
average cost for an installed grid connected system seems to be about $10
per watt. One quote I have received for 10 x 170 W panels with a 2100 W
inverter cost $18,900. A government rebate scheme of $4 per watt can reduce
the cost of the system by up to $4000 (1000w max). That's $11 a watt before
the rebate, or $8.76 per watt after rebate.
Can someone please offer me some more info.

Yeah. Stop fishing for the answer you want to hear and accept the truth.
The deal you are looking at can be done better and cheaper.
