    Thanks! This helped, the zip cord term seems to be a US thing but helped anyway - going to try some 28awg from a DC power extension cable (pre-made) as I can't find a UK supplier of cable in reel form. Thanks for the help all!

    Name this type of cable

    It will be used for the same purpose as pictured, as an IR emitter though instead of to a stereo jack it will be to PCB pads. No more than ~5v, multistrand, 2 conductors. I believe the cable is usually used for this (ir) or after DC transformers, the stripe indicating the + / signal - colours...

    What do you call this type of cable, ultra low voltage striped very thin cable.. Trying to find some to buy but not really sure what to search for? Only found this by a rough search through google images Thanks!

    I see.. I was hoping to find some pre-made that I could put the wired LED into and seal it shut

    Looking at this picture, what would you call, what I thought were described as IR lenses? I was looking for somewhere that would sell such a thing so that I could put one over an IR LED that is soldered to some wire... Can't find anywhere that sells such a thing online! Thanks
