Hi,
I am trying to fix power supply, but I have a problem with identification of parameters of zener diode. Diode at the photo is shorted.

Can anyone help me identify the value, based on the coloured stripes?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there and welcome to Electronics Point :)

Are you sure that component is a zener diode? It doesn't look like one internally, and its circuit reference appears to be SA101.

Did you remove it (or at least one end of it) from the circuit when you measured it? If not, it's possible that other components in the circuit are causing it to measure short circuit but the component itself may not be.

If you post a wider view of the board, and another photo of the underside, we may be able to figure out what type of component it is.

I would strongly suggest that its a glass encased spark gap
if so it should read open circuit

In this thread, a device that looks just like that one was discussed (most likely it was exactly the same part). In the end they decided it was a 'glass gas discharge device for overvoltage protection' regards to @gorgon.

The "SA" in the circuit reference "SA101" could stand for Surge Arrestor.
