I'm looking for opinions on an idea to see what others think about it. The idea is to use woven cable harnesses to replace tie wrapped electronic harnesses. This is not "Litz" wire, it is insulated wire that is woven by machine into a harness assembly. The appearance takes the form of wires running the length throughout a harness and those wires are held together with textiles (thread) rather than tie wraps.

The main idea behind this is that the harnesses are "automatically" formed by the machine so there is a large savings in replacing the layout boards, stringing the board with wire and hand work to tie wrap the harness. Additionally, several harnesses can be made at the same time on one machine.

So what do you think, is this a marketable idea? Does anyone know of a cable assembly company that might be interested?
