Hi
Im looking for a steer on the easiest way/minimum assembly:-
1. Heating controller in basement gives out 240v when demand required.
2. Heating valve is 1 floor up but too difficult to hardwire
3. Need a transmitter downstairs that sends a signal (RF?) when 240v demand is on
4. Need a receiver upstairs that switches a 240v relay for duration of when signal is being broadcast.

System is in UK, load would be about 2.5amps.
Prefer to buy pre assembled off the shelf if possible
Trying to avoid getting my Raspberry Pi out etc...
Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

Many thanks

ebay has many wireless remote control systems that have a small transmitter (a pc board assembly or a key fob) and a receiver board with a relay output, some under $10. Controller 240 Vac powers a wall wart that powers the transmitter. Receiver needs a wall wart for power, relay controls the 240 Vac load.

It may not be easy to hardwire but it's the best option imo.
A few things to think about;
Could interference, dead battery or other glitches cause boiler flow problems?
Would this modified circuit meet your local codes?
