DC coupling would be mandatory if you have an amplifier to power say a DCCharles Schuler said:dc coupling is with a direct path or a component that allows dc flow, such
as a resistor.
ac coupling is with a capacitor or a transformer (only ac signals are
coupled)
I'd expect better use of English from someone in Singapore.
To be honest - if you *need to ask* it means you haven't understood
something *really basic*. I suggest more study and listen to the
lecturer properly.
