Hello,

We have a motor test bed for our students and one of the motor's plugs has busted. I have tried to swap the missing pin with an unused pin in the plug, but unfortunately, the missing one was a wider pin and so doesn't work as a replacement.

So the missing pin in the attached photo has actually been relocated to the bottom right hand corner and it is a thicker pin that was missing.

we have no idea what kind of plug this is in order to find a new one. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Never seen that kind of plug.
It may help if you know the make and type of motor.

Since this test bed has the socket built in, there is no way to change it out.
Why not?

Practically any (suitable) multi-pole socket could be mounted on a small plate (or even a small square of pcb material) and bolted over the existing socket/hole - after its removal of course.

There is a TQ company, the relations to the motor you have is unclear.
May worth contacting them(via the support on there site) for help, with low probability of success.

Another way is to try and find the connector manufacturer (on male or female, disassemble if needed),that may provide a valid path to repair/pin replacement.

Otherwise,
there may be no other way other than to change the connectors, with proper voltage/amperage rating.

Hi sir,

Please check if you have unused pin. If there is at least one, transfer the wires of that broken pin and your problem is solved. For sure the male-female connectors will mate.
