LOL, now the hard part as you wait for the slow boat from china to come in ;-) My recent experience has been about 8-14 days.

Just a word of caution...the communication with this seller and/or his associates is very poor. I purchased a lot of 10 male pin headers and got female. Instead of just sending me the correct part, they drag out a dead end conversation which included photos of the wring item from me and a screen shot of the item I bought showing I purchased it in green.

I ended up filing a case with ebay and got my money back with shipping.

TxHang Electronic lost my business.

Expect a few failures <-- shipping and communications failures. They do this on very little margin. Often they'll do anything they reasonably can to avoid you giving them negative feedback though.

It's always fun having a few of these arduino compatible modules on hand. Even if all you do is play with them.

I was kind enough to not give negative feedback...however, I did leave neutral.

Neutral is fine. I am old enough to remember when "neutral" meant that everything went fine but was nothing special. These days it's seen by many to be some sort of punitive action.

I generally leave neutral feedback if I end up not out of pocket, but where things went poorly (often because I am left without what I purchased).

I wonder if this a genuine FTDI, or a clone that will have problems with the new drivers.

I have also just bought some stuff from alice(Tx Hang). Will see how it goes.

It's relatively simple to test the devices. A Linux live distro and a short script is all you need.

I'm a little concerned that there may be more than the one clone that's been highlighted by the current issue. So even if your devices pass right now, it doesn't mean you're in the clear (IMO).
