Q: What Are Mind Machines?
A: Mind Machines Are Light & Sound Brain Wave Entrainment Tools, And
Are Used As Non-Drug Alternatives To Treat Mental Illness, ADD,
Depression, Insomnia, Cronic Pain, and to reach peak performance in
sports, work, or school. They are also used as meditation tools to
reach profound states of Shamanic Ecstacy.
Q: Great so how can I buy one?
A: Well they aren't cheap, and the technology is becoming outdated. Now
you can have your own for free using an ordinary computer!
Q: So is this legal?
A: Yes it is, and will remain legal until the government figures out
that people are actually using these tools and that they really work.
Q: But is it dangerous?
A: It can be if you are sensitive to flashing lights. So you might
check with your doctor about it first. We are already surounded by
flashing lights all the time, and stimulated with hypnotic imagery in
comercial advertisements television shows, and the internet. These
devices are a safe way to get outside of the zombified trance modern
media places people inside of.
Q: Is it addictive?
A: Yes it is very addictive but not physically. I've found that using
mind machines have permanately altered and changed my life for the
better. And when combined with meditations, bio-feedback, or
trancendental music. The mind makes associations with the other forms
of treatment, and a person can learn to reach these states of mind
without even using the mind machine.
Q: So what's the deal?
A: Well you can download 2 free and open source tools to create your
own mind machine at home:
Gnaural generates awsome binuaral beats, and after you read the manual
you can easily program it to run along side of the visual tool we are
using:
http://gnaural.sourceforge.net/download/
It's called Flash O Matic 3000. This tool is a programable strobe
light that can be configured to operate at any hertz rate, and strobe
with any color:

They are both free software packages, and when put together create a
powerful mind machine on your PC that may be better than any hardware
device you can pay up to $1000 for. You can also put added
trancendental music into the mixture. Some binaural music is better
than others, and you can also use guided meditations along with these
programs. I find that the sound of rushing water bubbling at alpha
frequencies is very effective. And adds 10x's to the meditation what
it would be without it. For good background mixes try SBaGen:

Q: Well is there anything else I should know?
A: Yes, you need to know what frequencies of audio visual entrainment
are best suited to your needs. Alpha frequencies work best for me, and
lower frequencies are great after I shift my mindstate into alpha.
Alpha frequencies are anywhere from 13-9 hertz. Above that is everyday
beta, and anywhere lower is either theta from 8-4, and delta from 1-3.
The only time we use these frequencies are when we are alseep or deep
in meditation. Late at night is a good time to try these after a
little alpha.
Q: What type of hardware do I need?
A: You need a flat pannel LCD monitor. You don't want to use any kind
of CRT monitor. If you don't know what your using, then maybe its time
to buy a new monitor. An ideal monitor will have high brightness and
contrast settings.
When you run these programs you should turn your brightness, contrast,
and color ratios up as high as they want to go. This actually increase
the brightness (and darkness), of your monitor and adds to the effect
of the mind machine.
Q: How close should I look at the screen, and do I need to be in a
dark room?
A: The closer you look at the LCD monitor the better, but in a dark
room you can be at almost any distance and will experience the mind
altering effects. Distance adds something to the meditation that
traditional mind machines didn't have. But you could use them in broad
daylight because the glasses filtered out the light in the room, and
they tended to be a little brighter. So you do need to use this
software at night, or in a dark room.
I have covered up the windows, with blankets to create artificial
twilight. I'm using two light mexican blankets over each window, and
my room is very very dark. I just stuck the blankets up to the windows
with push pins. It may sound funny but it really does work.
