tekronics 434 for dummies?

UI have a tekronics 434 scope that i can only us the most rudimentary of
functions. Is there some website that gives the readers digest of scope
overviews and how to use it?

You should do a google search for Tektronix manuals and purchase the
operator manual for your specific instrument..
At the beginning of the operator's manual is an excellent tutorial that
takes you through every feature of the scope and has you turn every knob and
flip every lever.
