Technics cd player - how do I remove the feet?

I have a Technics SL-PG450 that needs to go into a rather tight space
in a cabinet. To get it in, I need to remove the feet.

The problem is that there doesn't appear to be a way to remove them.

There are two small holes on the bottom plate, but a flashlight shined
in them shows what looks to be just empty space.

Anyone have any ideas?

I've got nothing listed for a '450, but on a '460, they're screwed from the
inside, down into the foot. I seem to think that this is the case for most
Technics players.

No manuals available, but the ones I've parted or repaired either have
screws on the inside, or have plastic tabs which go through holes in the
bottom plate. The tabs either press fit, snap in; or are heated and
mushroomed into the hole.

All are removable to some degree...some might not be replaceable after
removal.

Removing the bottom plate reveals all....

In most of these players, you have to unassembled the case, and possibly
remove the main circuit board to gain access to the inside clips or screws.

There are other models where the feet are heat-press fit on, and would have
to be broken off to remove them.

First carefully investigate how the feet were put on to your unit before
trying to break them off!

If you have cooling holes on the underside, I would recommend to not remove
the feet. Blocking the cooling holes, or reducing their clearance, will
reduce the lifespan of your unit.
