First post, and it's a request for help, please.

Trying to get a 16" drum sander up and running. The board for the conveyor motor had this blown part:

It took a while to work out what it was: BT136-600E-02.

My question: is a BT136-500 a suitable replacement? The machine will operate on Australian 240V.

Yes, obviously I have no idea about electronics! Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Triacs usually explode for a reason. Have you tested that motor?

Thanks, Chris, got a sparky on the job. I ended up sourcing the original part - BT136-600E-02.
Hope to fire it up today.
