Hello,
I am in 8th grade and have chosen a science project that is possibly
too difficult for me. Can someone point me in the right direction as
to what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I decided to try doing this for my 8th grade science project, it is a
sound modulated LED light that can transmit sound to a photo cell
connected to a mini amplifier.
The few specs I found are from this website,
http://home.earthlink.net/~lenyr/modlitbm.htm.
Right now I'm in the sound modulated LED part.
I have connected everything to what I believe is the correct
configuration, as in the website's diagram.
I have the following components:
9v battery
a small walkman
some LED's
1K Ohm 1/4-Watt Carbon Film Resistor
10uf capacitor
The LED does light up after I have everything connected but the light
does not dim or change intensity after I connect the audio source for
it.
What am I doing wrong?
Does the resistor have a positive or negative side, does it matter how
it is hooked up?
The diagram shows the capacitor has a positive side, how can I tell
which side is positive?
Any help,please???

Many thanks...l
