Short Wave Radio Project Help Needed

I have a desire to build a fairly simple but good shortwave radio station (receiver and transmitter.)

I already have an 12 Volt power supply that I would like to use. I found the plans for a receiver but it is designed for use with a 9 Volt power supply.

And I am still in need of a plan to add transmitter capabilities to the project.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Just use a 7809 or LM317T to drop the voltage from 12 to 9.
The radio has a regenerative circuit. If this goes into oscillation it will affect other radios in the vicinity
You will need a licence to transmit.

The very old circuit uses obsolete parts.
It is missing almost everything in a real radio. Its selectivity is poor with only one LC tuned circuit (a real radio has at least 5 LC tuned circuits) so it might pickup 5 stations at the same time.
It will be difficult to find a station because the regeneration will be too high causing oscillation or too low then stations will not be heard. You must fiddle with VR1. A real radio has automatic gain control and never oscillates.
