My parents are having a simular problem to Drake Anderson with the
display (re: Sharp R-630DS Microwave Display), but instead of the
ligting, several of the pixels are not activating. I don't know if it
is the pixels themselves or the logic. Eitherway, my dad has tried to
contact Sharp without a responce, and I would like to get this fixed
for him. Any suggestions?

About the only thing you can do is check for back connections between
the LCD and driver or other bad solder connections. Sharp will want to
just replace the entire controller for a cost likely greater than a new
oven.

But make sure to read the SAFETY info in the Microwave Oven Repair Guide.
Microwave ovens are THE MOST DANGEROUS consumer electronics device to
service.
