Anyone have any info on this (recently UL approved) Sharp grid tie inverter?
Supposedly the units have > 60,000 installed (out of the country - mostly
Japan?). They sound sort of like the SMA SunnyBoy units (in that they
configure with higher voltage series strings) and support up to 3 separate
strings.
One (reported) unique aspect is that each of the 3 strings supposedly do not
need to be the same configuration or orientation & the unit has a higher
efficiency rating that anyone else in the game... I'd love to see that!
Frankly, I've yet to hear it from an unbiased source...
