Hi Ioannis,
Are you kidding, Paul? Try staying awake after watching all those Gould
videos. Today I feel like part of my soul has been sucked out and gone to
Gould.
Feeling rather Gouldish are we? ;-)
Sleep for me is the jewel of human experiences!
I wish I could sleep. I often work until three or four in the morning
and would happily stay up all night if I didn't force myself to go to
bed; three or four hours sleep is a good night.
And I'm afraid sleeping tonight is going to be especially difficult as
my collie, Kelsey, is seriously ill. I rushed him to the vet this
morning when it became apparent he was in considerable distress and
although they're not 100 per cent certain, the suspicion is that he
may have been poisoned. He's still very weak and disoriented and his
breathing is heavy and laboured. More worrisome, his liver and
kidneys are not functioning properly and there's evidence of internal
bleeding. Tonight, he seems a little more alert (there's some head
and eye movement where there had been none before), but he's by no
means out of the woods. I'll be seeing him again tomorrow and will
update you on his condition when I return.
I'll just quickly add that I've been blessed with four collies over
the years -- Casey, Kyle, Kingston and, most recently, Kelsey -- all
male, sable, rough coats, two of whom were rescues. These dogs are so
incredibly beautiful, gentle, loving and good-natured and each one has
enriched my life in ways you cannot imagine.

Paul
