I have a thermistor that I would like to resolder the lead onto the
chip material.
Of course there needs to be a coating that will accept solder and also
make connection with the chip. Is this something that can be done
outside of the manufacturing process?

Thermistors are cheap but this one is difficult to duplicate and is in
a crystal oven so the resultant temp is kind of important.

thanks,
