Hi guys. Been gone for a while because of surgery. Good to be back. Hope you
all have a good Thanksgiving!
Anyway, I have an RCA ctc169ca chassis on the bench, with a problem I have
seen before, but can't find any notes on it. When you first turn on the set,
you get a white line across the center of the screen from side to side (no
vertical sweep), then either the set will turn off a second later, or will
then come on and work fine. When you turn off the set, it's the same thing
again, instead of turning off, you get no vertical sweep, and it takes
hitting the power button a couple of times to turn the set off. Replaced
cr4118, and several caps known to cause problems in the chassis, but has not
helped. Hopefully somebody knows what causes this. Thanks!
