REPOST FROM CIRCUIT HELP, (because i found it was probably better suited for here.) Hello, I just recently purchased a monitor from a yardsale and it takes in a 12V - 3.3A input. My question is could i take a hdmi to vga, thenpower it from the rpis 2 12V gpio pins + 1 of the 3.3V pins then connect ground to 1 or 2 ground pins? If this wont work could someone give me a idea? Even taking a seperate powersupply is possible but not prefered, I would like only to use 1 cord. Here is the monitor on Newegg: https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16824205009

Power the MONITOR using a proper power pack that can supply 12V and at least 3.3A.

Nothing else will do.
