Hi there, newbie to electronics generally but am hoping to work on some small projects involving led strips. I had just finished a poker table and used a strip of leds with remote etc and had about 2 feet of led strip left over. Is there anything I can do with these without buying a whole lot of accessories? Am I able to somehow connect them to another power source? (batteries would be ideal) I don't care if they all end up one colour etc. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

LED strips with RGB may have a smart chip or not.
If not then they simply string 3 RGB strips in series with 3 R's to 12V and you ground each colour Pin R,G,B or any combination. You may power from a 14V Lipo pack as brightness will increase from ~9V to 14.5V as current drain rises and discharge time reduces.

Thx for the reply Sunny. Unfortunately a lot of what you are saying is over my head :)... the strip looks exactly like these:

Do I need any special connector to operate these (as I used the one that came with the original package) I'm hoping to connect maybe a 9V battery? Would that power any of these? And I'm not sure how to ground the colours as you mentioned.. thanks!
