Powered Sub

Hi, I had a Sony Audio System, model MHC-GX45, and the central unit
broke. The speakers are in fine condition, but I noticed that I need
to power the subwoofer, model SS-WG990, to get it to work. Does
anybody know the voltage and amperage used to power the speaker? I want to use it again - but not sure what power to hook it up to,

The speaker is rated at 15w RMS and has an impedance of 6Ω.

It appears to be a passive device and requires an amplifier rated to match.

if you mean the speaker has an external power input other than main signal output of the amplifier
then you have to measure the ac or dc power consumption on it.
but if it has only one input and thats only the amp signal, conventional amplifiers support 20W ,4Ω to 8Ω speakers easily.
