If you don't mind being limited to the audio range,
and you have a system that can run real-mode DOS
with an ISA-bus Sound Blaster card, you may want to
check out my Daqarta package. It has real-time scope
and spectrum analyzer modes, plus a really fancy
signal generator.

It doesn't have a logic analyzer as such, but if you
use the LPTX driver (see the Download page) you
can use your printer port to look at 4 lines at once.
They will be summed together in a binary-weighted
fashion, instead of 4 separate traces. This may
take a little getting used to, but it does help to
show gaps and overlaps better. Big problem is
the sample rate is limited to 100 kHz or so by ISA
bus. (With a few resistors, you can use this driver
as an 8-bit ADC or DAC for analysis or generation.)

Also supports a number of older laboratory-grade
data acquisition baords.

A Windows version that can use any sound card
is in the works. A signal generator-only version
will be released in a few weeks. I'll mention it here
when it happens.
