NiMH power weight ratio

Just wondering if anyone knows the weight of these batteries?

AAA 900mAH
AA 2500mAH

or will they vary between manufacturers?

I'm trying to work out whether 4 x AAA or 2 x AA has the better power
to weight ratio. The batteries will feed a step-up converter whose
efficiency depends on the input voltage, but I can work that out myself.

** Of course they vary, by make and by capacity.

** The 2500 mAH AAs win, hands down.

Oh why not... I've got a postal scale from the days I used to sell
stuff on eBay.

AA, 2300 mAh NiMH Energizer: 1.0 oz
AAA, 900 mAh NiMH Energizer: 0.4 oz

Interestingly, a 2500 mAh NiMH cell also weighs 1.0 oz.

Sure, but not by much...

AA : 2300 (or 2500) mAh/oz
AAA: 2250 mAh/oz
