I am looking at learning Pic and/or Stamp programming, but really seem to be
at a loss of where to start and what to buy, im looking at programming a via
my PC, and have it display things on a LCD screen, also flash LED`s etc etc.

I know I would need, Software, Programmer and a development board?

Anybody suggest any links etc etc?

I`ve been looking at:

http://www.rev-ed.co.uk & http://www.magenta2000.co.uk Anybody had any
dealing with these place?

Anybody suggest any software / Programmers? I don`t mind building them etc
etc.

Many Thanks

Try the oopic...www.oopic.com great little dev system which can be
programmed in via basic, c or java.

I was very satisfied with the AVR STK500 kit. This kit contains,
sockets for various AVR chips (8 pins to many pins), switches, leds,
programming facilities, ISP programming for evolved projects,
configurable power supply, SW to drive it all is free to download.
For me it allowed an excellent step-by-step introduction in the
microcontroller world.
