Need UART for new design Nucleus RTOS

I am looking for a recommendation for a popular common UART to pick for a
new design.

It would make it alot easier for the software folks if Nucleus RTOS
supported it.

Am looking for a part number recommendation.

The 16550 class is standard. They come as 16550(single),
16552 (dual) and 16554 (quad). From various manufacturers.
Some have longer buffers for higher baudrates, but that
is about it.
