Low volume

    Hi I have an hitachi mx-01w opus
    But the volume is very low no matter were the volume is .could it be a transistor. Any ideas please. ..

    Without a datasheet we're not likly to be able to offer much help.
    Check the circuit for any swollen or leaky capacitors.

    Does that hold true for ALL functions . . . like - - - - - AM radio----FM radio----CD player ---- Cassette player ?
    Also, plug in a set of headphones and see if that is being the same way.
