I would to to make my own smartphone and thought of using rpi3. I found this: https://www.instructables.com/id/Build-Your-Own-Smartphone/ , this was made when the first pi came out; but I would like to make it^ using rpi3. I am not sure I can do that, but If I can, I would like know how because the rpi3 is different from the original.

I guess my question is can I somehow make the rpi3 compatible with the instructable, and if so how.

Anything that runs on a Rpi should run on a Rpi3, too.
For specific details you may be better off asking on a forum specialized on the Rpi.

I want something like this: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1946 but that can access 3g.
What little "breakout modem thingy", that will work with the earlier mentioned instructable, would any of you guys recommend? (This stuff is fun but I am new to it, sorry )
