Hello there

I've alwys wondered why various types of memory cards have so unintuitive
properties. Main thing is comparsion between SD/SDHC/SDXC and CompactFlash.
I've seen that CF's are more "pro" as photographers might say so they are
more expensive/bigger. However when I check moden specs of both families
(SD** and CF) then i see that The SD family is cheaper, smaller and yet
comparable capacity and speed to CF. I wonder whats the point of it. Didn't
the CF should be like 4 times more capable due its physical size or cheaper
as older technology? Maybe CF have some hidden advantage over SD?

And second thing. Why micro SD cards so popular over standard size SD
cards? Bigger Sd tends to be faster, more capable with not so big physical
size. I see aplications of micro sized in cellphones, smartwatches, and
uther really small devices. But more and more dev like tablets (big
ones),car camcorders, ip cameras geting micro sd while apparently there is
still enough space for standard size. Why limit usage of standard SD
(faster, more GB) in such devices? If they've put norm SD We would still use
micro to standard size adapter or just dispose old card from camera or
something. So why producers wiling to get rid of standard SD while We are
capacity hungry and SD isn't so big?
