Is it something wrong if I use 12v power supply to turn on ttl module of a laser engraver instead of 5v?

thank you for the answer

Why would you even think this would work? TTL (Transistor-Transistor Logic) levels are limited to a range of zero to +5V. Applying 12V to a TTL module is NOT a good idea. Are you asking because someone has already done this, and now the laser engraver doesn't work? RTFI before messing with expensive toys.

Unless you want to blow-up all the TTL ICs (smoke isn't guaranteed but they will blow and crack).
Anything above 7V would do a good destruction work.;)
