I know this is off topic , but , does any-one know how to delete an old unused email address ?

On my Google account it always refers back to an address that I have not used for over a year !

I can not find a solution to this problem , although I have googled it !

It will not go away !!! Help Please !!

I've given this thread an appropriate title and moved it to an appropriate forum.

I can't help - I have no special knowledge on the subject. All I can suggest is use Google's tutorials and help facilities.

I can't help, but I'll add my pet peeve about gmail. Anybody I ever sent an email to gets added to that left column lower block on the screen, and there's no way to get rid of it. When I email a company for information, and a
woman's name from that company appears in that block, my at-home woman gets upset. You'd think there'd be a way to delete the one-time-only contact names you made to conduct normal business.

I access gmail through their imap interface, using Thunderbird (or you could probably use Outlook), instead of the web-based interface. I don't see any of that crap.

That arm of Google seems to want to become the next Facebook. Well, we already have one Facebook, and that's bad enough. No one really wants another. But Google doesn't seem to take the hint.
