How many windings does a Honda 3500watt rotor have I've been up and down the Internet and still at it I have the stator inflation but I don't have the Rotor it is a 2 pole 220vac generator

What are the model numbers prefixes and suffixes . . . . that go along with that 3500 number ?

Honda EM 4000 - 3500
I don't have any more information on the rotor
Do you have a formular for figuring the number of turns for the Rotor
That I could understand

3500 watts 220 vac 3000 rpm 50hz 30 slots
Stator has 18 18 18 18 18 number of turns. 2 2 2 2 2 number of turns
Coil span 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 wire Dia .65mm x 3
AVR 35, 35 number of turns

Sir Tim Murphy . . . . .

Does this agree with your unit ?

Also, do I understand that the unit has been cannibalized of its generators rotor . . . . . and it is being completely missing?
I am only seing a bipolar winding and one pair of brass slip rings.

That's the rotor. What I would like to know is the amount of turns.i just heard that each winding is 1.5Vac. So that might makit each pole 90 turns X 1.5 = 135Vac 2 poles 270Vac
I was also told that all portable have the same amount of turns the only difference is the larger generator would have heavier copper wire Windings
Thanks for the diagram

The rotor has only one winding each end is connected to a slip ring.
The rotor is fed with DC not AC. The voltage/current/wire size/wire turns will depend on the design. I do not think the the number of turns is critical, the controller should provide what is necessary to get the required output voltage.

The three output stator windings will have sufficient turns to limit the pole flux so that saturation does not occur. Large transformers have large cores and fewer turns/volt. As a rough estimate a core of one square inch would have 5 turns/volt.

To get fundamental information, look up 'ludens transformer', you will need to use S.I units.

What is wrong with the alternator, have you found a fault?
Was the wire missing? If present, just count the number of turns.
"Alternating Current Machines" by Say is a good book.

I'm just interested on how generators are designed what is the difference between
A 3500watt and a 7000watt generator and I was having trouble getting information on how many turns was in the roto coils
I've been told that there is no differents only the size, they all have the same amount of winding to be able to produce 220Vac
Thanks
