Hello... need help. I have just bought some 40 mm 60 led rings.
What I would like is the name of the circuit or a diagram of the circuit of what I need to achieve.
So I have indicators that flash 12v bulbs and I have led rings that are on all the time. I would like the led ring to go out when the bulb is lit and stay on when indicators are off.
I can achieve this with a relay but is to bulky. Is there a simple circuit I can use instead. The system is a motorbike 12v 4 buld flashers control module. The 40 mm led fit in my indicators with clear smoked lenses. I have red for the rear and white for the front, so hopefully you can imagine what I want to achieve.
Thank you.

Hello
Do you want the LEDs to come on in between the flashes of the indicators or stay off while the indicator switch is on.
Cheers

Ok, do you know how much current the LED ring draws?

Do you also know if the indicator controller currently fitted switches in the power or the common of the battery?

This is a copy from FLEE BAY.
  • specifiction:

  • Quantity: 2 pc

  • Light source: COB LED

  • COB LED lamp is 2 times brighter than 5050 SMD lamp

  • LED's each light: 81 - 126LEDs

  • Voltage: 12-24V

  • Lifespan: 50,000 hours

  • Come with Regulator

  • Super bright,water proof.

  • Size:

  • Outer diameter: 60mm - 120mm

  • Innerdiameter: 50mm - 110mm

  • Wire length: 58cm

  • Please confirm your headlight ring size before purchase.

  • Package includes:

  • 2 x COB LED 70mm - 120mm angel eyes ring
    2 x Regulator

  • I would say the indicator controller switches in the power. It's on a 2015 Harley Davidson softail heritage. The indicator module will automatically turn off indicators after a turn or will turn off after ten seconds of so or I can cancel on switch it self. Sorry got the led ring size wrong. 60mm 81 leds. I don't know the current draw

Ok so you will need to get a multi meter and measure the current at some point so you can choose the correct components. I have drawn a circuit which I think should get you going and I have just placed the ignition switch and flasher switch as an example, you will need to check out the wiring properly to make sure it will work. Once you know the current the LEDs draw you can choose the correct PMOS. But we can help you with that. The resistors can be standard 1/4 W ( R1 and R2) and the zener diode can be a 500 mW type. The PMOS is to be decided. It will also help if you could measure the voltage that appears on the bulb when it is on so we can take into account any voltage drop in the wiring.
Cheers
