Hi Everyone,
I recently acquired a locally made UPS which gave me a backup of about 10seconds. Upon inspection i discovered the battery was near its life's end. Once i replaced the battery with a similar type from another UPS, to my surprise it gives a backup of only 45 seconds.
The UPS is probably a 500Watt one with a 7.2Ah battery; the battery works like a charm on my other APC back UPS[about 30min for a 65Watt laptop], but on this one its only for 45sec[approx 6 beeps] before it shuts off.
P.S: I did check the resistors and diodes, also looked for any leaky capacitors. Unfortunately i don't know how to check the other components.
Any idea what i should be looking for???
Thanks in advance
