Hello I am trying to build a new circuit board for my gate closer and i am reusing the old closer. My problem is that the closer uses a motor from elvi and i cant find the specs. Would anyone know where i can find the specs on the elvi 102.567 / FCE 24v WeeK 30 / 08?
Thanks
Dave

Evidently that is a simple DC motor, what kind of spec's are you looking for?

Elvi seem to specialise in dc motors.

If it has permanent magnets it will be dc.

I need the wiring diagram. Is there any chance that the motor would be 24vac?
If it has brushes then it would appear to be DC, you can back-drive it and see if it generates a DC voltage, if it does, and if you have the RPM on the motor plate then you can extrapolate the necessary applied voltage by using a typical figure of 2000rpm max, and what the voltage would be for that RPM, this will be close to the motor rated DC.

There are 5 wires, 3 of them are smaller and connect on the end where the shaft comes out. I see that most of the elvi motors have hall effect sensors, would the 3 wires be the hall effectsensors.

Hall effect (3) sensors are usually associated with BLDC motors, which normally would have 3 stator leads and at least 3 hall conductors which would also need a reference or power.
If the one you have has two leads for the motor and the three could be a single RPM sensor, ( +V -V & sensor).
