I'm in need of a lot of fluo tubes, so my q is :
Can I make a electronic ballast because magnetic ones are to pricey?
There are no shemes of PCBs on the net:-((((
I,m a newbie so , please keep it simple:)
....analog, no IC's, maybe whit diodes or something?
somebody smart?

You'd be hard-pressed to make an electronic ballast for less than the cost
of a magnetic one which is typically just a big inductor (choke). But, yes,
you certainly can make electronic ballasts and these are made due to
numerous advantages over magnetic ballasts:

-- Better energy efficiency
-- Dimmable
-- (Sometimes) smaller, lighter, quieter
-- Can work with tubes too 'big' (long) for magnetic ballasts

Sure there are, although you'll probably find more schematics from
home-brewers building, e.g., low-end (not particularly strongly regulated)
12V input ballasts. Companies like International Rectifier that make
high-voltage input ballast controller ICs have application notes regarding
their usage.

Magnetic ballasts are quite inexpensive - from where have you obtained a
price for them?

Any 'electronic' ballast will be considerably more expensive than a
magnetic.

Cheapest source of fl light ballasts is using the ballasts from thrown
out CFL bulbs, or dumped fl lights. Making your own wouldnt be cheaper
at all.
