Hi All,

I have a DSC 5010 with a Sentrol 429CT 2 wire smoke detector.

I have the detector wired to the PGM2 and AUX+ with an eol and jumper
CON1 is removed as described in the manual (2.9.5).

My question is, how do I program that "zone" as a "Delayed 24 Hour
Fire Zone" when it in fact is not hooked up to a zone.

At present, when the smoke detector is activated the fire bell squacks
and the panel imidiatly dials the central station. I would like to
have a delay to take the pot off the stove then press a key on the
keypad to cancel the communication to the central station.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

matt

The delayed fire option is not available on the pgm 2 2-wire smoke detector
zone. If you want delayed fire, use a 4-wire smoke, and connect it to one
of the zones (1-32).

Hello Matt,

Don't believe you can do what you want without going into a 4-wire
detector.

Although you might want to try (location 370) Transmission Delay Time
to see if you can delay transmission of the signal(I'm not sure if it
will delay a 2-wire fire signal though...).
