Morning All,

New to the site but some component idenfication help brings me here. I have been looking at an old car keyfob and there is a component on it I'm not sure what it is. There is some markings on it but Google has brought up nothing

I have attached some photos of the top and reverse of the component. On the top it says "100" which is underlined and underneath it says "0219A09". There are four solder pads underneath. The component is about 6mm long and 3.5mm wide.

Any Ideas?

Thanks for your help :)

Edit. Fixed Photos

It could be a crystal or some kind of filter. The placement in the circuit could reveal someting about its function.

Sorry for my lack of response I went away and then got tied up with work :(

Thanks for the replies, the component is located at the bottom middle of the PCB.

Any ideas how to find a data sheet for it, or a suitable replacement? Google is not proving to helpful and the datasheets returned are nothing like what I have.

if its from a keyfob it could very possibly be a crystal. if you provide more detail maybe we could help. i give the example of 96 lexcen/commodore... same thing different badge. it maybe that the maker simply relabelled it to be a part number within their system.

It's from a Valeo Key for a Rover Car.

Not sure what more detail I could provide. There is an IC chip inside labelled NEC75076177.

How about high quality, crisp, clean, clear, up-close pictures of the front and back of the circuit board inside the key fob? Perhaps post them to Flickr or PhotoBucket, and then post a link to the album here?
