I have a Canon DSLR Camera, I have been looking online to buy a Dummy battery pack with with wires (SEE IMAGE BELOW)

and connect a external power pack to the wires to be able to run my camera for long periods of time,

My question is that a powerbank Makes 5v and I Need 7,2v to run the camera,
Could i connect a DC-DC step up converter to the usb port of the power bank, and turn it into 7,2v which then connects to the dummy battery?

my previous idea was to buy a 12v battery pack and use a DC step down converter, but I found a really large high capacity USB power bank, and realised it would be more useful because on times I don't need to use it to power my DSLR i could use it to charge my cellphone and other devices

Thanks For the help

Are you sure that you camera can run for extended periods without over-heating?

Its more for cases when i do timelapse or hyperlapse photography, so i would hope its not overheating?, but even when i use magic lantern powersave mode, I can only get about 3 hours worth of time from a canon battery.

That camera will be fine powered on for ever :). They can get a bit warm if you do extended video or continually fire the flash

There are several multi voltage power banks on the market. Only one I know of that will supply the voltage you want, or close enough. I've been using the Powerstream MP3450 for about three years now.

if the battery I get is a 5v 15000mAh battery, roughly how much will I lose when I use the DC 7.4v step up converter ?

You can expect a capacity of approximately 7600mAh.
