Are older computer components worth anything?

Hello everyone,

I have recently come across a number of electronic components from 2007. It seems to be all of the parts to build your own boards. Would it be worth anything, or just scrap? Everything is sealed in anti static bags, and sat in heated storage. Thank you for any help.

It's not worth anything buddy......in fact I'd be doing you a favour taking it off your hands. Just post it all to me.

:)

I am kidding,of course! I don't know if it's worth anything or not but I am sure someone will be along soon who can tell you it's value.

Hope you've found some treasure!

These look like parts that can be used for new projects and or repair.
If you don't need them, one option would be to sell them on Ebay.
You can check their price on digikey or mouser for reference.

I saw a DSTV program a while ago where these scrap merchants in the US salvage precious metals from scrapped computers and industrial digital electronic boards.
Apparently the IC's contain gold, although probably in minute amounts.
Hobbyists in your area may be able to use the LED's etc.
