Hi Group:
I am a newbie and do-it-yourselfer. I just purchased an Ademco Lynx
Wireless System. I did great with the install, and things are up and
running. I have installed the wireless door/window/motion sensors and
smoke detectors, all seem to be working just fine.

I am having a little trouble with my Glass Break sensor though. I am
not sure it is registered correctly in the main panel. I tried to
follow the booklets and product literature/instructions that came with
the sensor.
Anyone have any experince with this system and or Glass Break sensor
5853 Flexguard?
Thanks and Cheers!
Ricky

Mark said that with "tongue in cheek". Bass is the guy that suggested
installing a second keypad on a Lynx system (which you can't do). He knows
next to zip about Lynx.

Not exactly, I said it because he's currently unavailable on a trip, but
most likely he doesn't know squat about the Lynx or glassbreak

Right, I read he was away surfing in Brazil. Man, that sounds pretty
damn sweet.
Thanks for reading my post and chiming in anyway....
Cheers!

Easiest way to tell on the glassbreak is to test it or open it to activate
the tamper

Problem is, he can only surf using two outrigger canoes.

Besides, when he goes in the water, there's always a ring of grease
that left that floats up on shore. No doubt there'll be a tsunami
report in the area too.

You'd think that someone as fat as he is would float like a turd. Come
to think of it, that would still be an appropriate way to describe him
floating, even if he wasn't a fat pig.

Wow! That's too funny. I am glad you guys are friends, imagine what you
might say if he was your enemy. ;-)
Still that sounds like a pretty sweet place to catch some waves.
Cheers!

Cool!
That I did try and the panel picked up the signal just fine. I just
want to make sure I have set and registered the sensor correctly.
I programmed it in using the voice command option, under the perimeter
sensor category, but as a motion sensor. That was the closest thing I
could find to match the type of sensor it is with the options they give
you in the sensor registration menu.
I know I am probably just spinning my wheels.
Anyway....thanks for the suggestion man!
Much appreciated.
If Robert Bass does have an idea, maybe he can respond too at some
point when he gets back.
Thanks.

You're too nice a guy Rick. If you'd have been here for the last seven
years or so, you'd understand that Fat Ass Bass is the most despicable
piece of effluent that's ever posted a message here or anywhere in
Usenet. Since it would be too arduous a task, I wont suggest that you
spend an hour or so, doing a search on the contemptable, outrageous and
vile things this excuse for a human being, has done to people through
the years. He literally and actually is a liar, and a thief and it's
all documented in years of Usenet posts. He is about the most skillful
and iniquitous depraved egomaniac that you could ever imagine. This
groups original FAQ does not allow for it's use for conducting business
here. Yet he blatantly advertises his website and declares that he can
do whatever he wants. No one has the say over what anyone wants to do
here. He depends upon the other participants who give of their
expertise freely, to promote his business to end users, coming here to
ask questions. He has plagiarized manufactureres publications and
information from this group, claiming it was of his origin. In
addition, he berates alarm installation companies in an attempt to
scare end users into doing their own installations and thus buying
equipment from him. He hasn't been in the installation business in
years yet infers to end users that he still installs systems. He skirts
around the copyright laws and gives dealer downloading disks to end
users, that alarm panel manufacturers proclaim are for dealers use
only. The list goes on and on and even goes into his personal life
where he is, in fact, a convicted felon, for a gun crime and is
responsible for the death of someone. Yet he works with end users with
knowledge of their security systems. He's a depraved, degenerate, and
there is not one person in this group of participants that will defend
him. Even if he were here to read this now, he would say absolutely
nothing in rebuttal, about this post, because he knows that everything
that I've said can be proved. And this is just a miniscule description
of the things this misfit has done to disrupt this group for years and
years. He deserves every bit of acrimony and resentment that can be
fostered against him for how he has caused this potentially great
Newsgroup to disintegrate.

Wow!
Thanks for the heads up. I was hoping to meet some nice folks to
exchange ideas and working experience here. I hope most folks treat it
that way.
Cheers!
