Ademco Vista 20SE = ADT Safewatch Pro 2000?

Hello,
I have an ADT Safewatch Pro 2000 control panel and was told it was made by
Ademco for ADT. In fact the schematic on the box mentions some Ademco
add-ons (zone expander, etc.).

Is the Safewatch Pro 2000 in fact the Ademco Vista 20SE?

Yes a semi-proprietary version

Thanks. Can you explain a bit about the semi-proprietary part? Will a
local alarm company who deals with Ademco be able to install and monitor the
system same is if it is an actual Vista? Is there a way I can find out what
the actual differences are?

The differences are minor, the main one allows ADT to lockout programming
while still allowing entry into programming. It can be reprogrammed and
monitored by anyone.
