yes - I know it is an old beast, but it works flawlessly, so if I can
get it to do the job for me, why not? I suspect newer ones are a few
beer and cheesies worth...

FYI,These scopes have been out of production for a LONG time.
You can get an approximate date of manufacture by checking date codes
on various parts
The format is ww-yy;last 2 digits of month,and year.I'd check the CRT
date code,then ICs,timing caps,pots.

The stored writing rate depends on the CRT's flood guns,and eventually,they
wear out.And such old scopes are hard to get parts for repairs.
Plastic parts outgass,get brittle and break.
The 434 PS was a wierd one,too.The HV assy was one of the weak points on
this model.
