3D Manipulator- Robot drawer

I am doing my project call "3D robot painter- manipulator" as my BA thesis. In absolute uncertainty of electric, I would like to ask may some of you have examples of 3D printing scheme, videos, books or etc. that would carry me out of this. I have no strong knowledge and basics of electric, so it would be nice if somebody would help.

What is your Major if you're attempting this without any electronics knowledge?
Why don't you try a thesis in some area you've studied?
My suggestion if you're going to pursue this anyway, is to start Googleing for what you need.
I don't think anybody here has the time to research your thesis for you.
